Starting January 2019 Nycdv will provide door-to-door transport for domestic violence clients to help them to go to court. Nycdv will run door-to-door transport services; this service will be free and will take clients to these places: court, hospitals, police stations, counseling, and places that fall under our transportation guidelines.
NYC domestic violence: Putting our clients first:
Domestic Abuse and the many forms of violence and abuse encapsulated within the Violence against Women and Girls genre is wholly unacceptable. Our vision is for nycdv to advocate no form of violence against women and girls is tolerated and where victims and their children know how and where to get the help they need. We adopt and promote a zero tolerance approach to violence against women and girls, who are disproportionately-victimized by domestic abuse sexual violence, child sexual exploitation, stalking and harassment and modern day slavery.
We will prioritize the following main pillars of work between 2019:
- Prevention and Early Intervention
- Service Provision
- Partnership working.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
NYC DOMESTIC VIOLENCE is an equal opportunity organization and will not allow discrimination based upon age, ethnicity, ancestry, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, or any other status prohibited by applicable law.
